More playability and paths coming to Riverside Park!

Construction is underway for the new All Weather Field at Riverside Park. The new field is between the main parking lot and the existing All Weather Field. While this new synthetic turf field area is multipurpose, it will be permanently lined for one full sized soccer field or two 9v9 soccer fields. The LED lighting system is already installed. A paved path will be constructed around the new field and will connect to the existing path. The project is expected to be completed in time for fall 2024 rentals.

The funding for the new All Weather Multipurpose Field at Riverside Park is a result of the Anderson Parks 25-year Park Improvement Plan approved by voters in November of 2023.  The 1 mill capital levy is dedicated to improvement projects in the parks, focused on the 6 Ps: Paths, Potties, Parking, Playgrounds, Pickleball, and Playability.
