W. M. Johnson Hills Park Natural Surface Trails Renovation
The Anderson Park District has begun renovating the natural surface trails at W. M. Johnson Hills Park. Work began in fall 2025 and will continue through the summer of 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions.
The project includes improving drainage areas, installing stonework around pipes and other erosion prone locations, rerouting small sections of trail, regrading surfaces, installing wooden water bars to direct runoff, and performing general trail maintenance. Additionally, overgrown honeysuckle will be trimmed back to widen certain areas of the trail.
The goal of this renovation is to preserve the natural beauty and character of the trails while enhancing their safety, durability, and long-term sustainability.
Thank you for your patience during this project!

Disc Golf Course
Anderson Parks’ first disc golf course opened in 2016! The 18-hole course is a great way to explore the beautiful wooded terrain at W. M. Johnson Hills Park. This easy-to-learn game is a healthy outdoor activity that is fun for all ages and fitness levels.
The course has been a key component of the park’s design since 2001. In 2016, the Greater Cincinnati Flying Disc Association assisted with the course design and provided hundreds of volunteer hours to help build the course.
In 2020 the back 9 holes were constructed and opened to complete the 18-hole disc golf course!
Disc golf is free to play and players provide their own discs or Frisbees. For rules and how to play, visit Greater Cincinnati Flying Disc Association’s website.
