Marty Brennaman Field Upgrade at Juilfs Park
Thanks to contributions from the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund, Anderson Township Youth Sports Inc., the Kid Glove Program, and the Juilfs Foundation, an all weather, synthetic turf infield was installed at Marty Brennaman Field at Juilfs Park!
Marty Brennaman Field at Juilfs Park was dedicated in 2008 to honor the Cincinnati Reds Radio Hall of Fame broadcaster. Marty Brennaman was the play-by-play voice of the Cincinnati Reds from 1974 until his retirement in 2019. Anderson Township was Marty’s home for many years.
The Anderson Park District’s 25-year park improvement plan focuses on the 6 Ps: Paths, Potties, Parking, Playgrounds, Pickleball, and Playability. When baseball/softball games are rained out, it is usually because the dirt infields are too wet. The all weather, synthetic turf infield will significantly increase the field’s playability factor, enabling teams to play ball more days. Additional all weather infields are planned for Riverside Park in the next couple of years.
Community partnerships like the Marty Brennaman Field Upgrade at Juilfs Park expand the Anderson Park District’s ability to put more play features in the parks.
