Accessible Text Description: Beech Acres Park Athletic Fields Map
This is a text description of the Beech Park athletic fields map. The map is oriented with North at the top. The park is located at 6910 Salem Road in Anderson Township, Ohio.
Park Layout & Entrances:
Beech Acres Park can be accessed from three points: one entrance on Beechmont Avenue and two along Salem Road. A multi-use paved trail forms a 0.8-mile full loop around the park. A service road runs along the western and southern boundaries of the park, connecting all four parking lots, allowing patrons to move between them without re-entering traffic on Beechmont Avenue or Salem Road.
Northern Section (Top of Map):
- The Beechmont Avenue entrance leads to the Anderson Parks RecPlex and two northern parking lots.
- The northern area features a 0.2-mile oval trail containing an Ampitheater in the north, and Shelter #1 to the south. The GAPP Peace Pole is located outside the oval path to the west but inside the full park loop.
Central Area:
The central area contains the park’s major amenities. In the west: the accessible playground, water play area, restroom with AED, and the “Belle of the Beech” (Shelter #2).
The athletic fields are to the east. This central section is split into two distinct areas by two trail segments: a 0.33-mile trail on the west encircling the playground, splash pad, shelter, two soccer fields, and one ball diamond; and a 0.29-mile trail on the east encircling three more soccer fields and another ball diamond.
In total, this area contains:
- Two Ball Diamonds
- (5) 30 yards x 20 yards Dribbler/Trapper Fields (#1-#5) located in the outfields of the diamonds.
Southern Section (Bottom of Map):
The eastern Salem Road entrance and parking lot is located next to Parkside Christian Church.
Moving west from this lot, the southern part of the trail loop passes the:
- Skatepark
- Basketball Court
- Volleyball Court
The Firefighter’s Memorial is located back near the western Salem Road parking area.
