RecPlex History
The Beech Acres Parenting Center has been caring for Greater Cincinnati families for over 174 years.
Since 1990, the Anderson Park District has leased a portion of the RecPlex, formerly the Geiger Center, from the Beech Acres Parenting Center.
In 2004, Beech Acres Parenting Center and Anderson Park District entered into a partnership, with the lease of the Parenting Center’s entire RecPlex, the community’s only indoor recreation center. This exciting community partnership served their mission of “Strengthening Families for Children.” The Anderson Park District is grateful that the Beech Acres Parenting Center offered this pivotal opportunity to the Anderson Park District.
In 2018, Anderson Township Government purchased and renovated the RecPlex (residing on 6 acres). The Park District continues to lease the RecPlex from Anderson Township Government as of 2023.
The RecPlex is the Anderson Park District’s main office and the home of the Recreation Department which provides programs, events, and leagues for all ages at the RecPlex and throughout the Anderson Parks.
