Notice of Updated Park Rules & Regulations
The Anderson Township Park District revised its Rules & Regulations to clarify and expand the list of prohibited electric vehicles on park trails designated for walking or manually powered vehicles. Effective August 1, 2026, the operation of electric scooters, electric skateboards, and electric dirt bikes are prohibited outside of designated parking areas.
Please note that the electric motor feature of electric bicycles were already prohibited on walking trails under the Rules & Regulations that went into effect on January 1, 2026. The updated regulations now specifically identify additional electric vehicles for clarity. These revisions are intended to help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for pedestrians, runners, and other park visitors using Anderson Park District trails.
The revised Rules & Regulations will take effect on August 1, 2026. Please remember all vehicles (bicycles, scooters, skateboards, electric motorcycles and electric dirt bikes) are prohibited on park fields, playgrounds or in shelters. Electric motorcycles and electric dirt bikes are considered motor vehicles and prohibited outside of designated parking areas.
Reminder: Dog Policies Remain Unchanged
While the Park District’s dog policies have not changed, please remember, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 955.22, all dogs must remain on a leash while in Anderson Park District parks.
A leash no longer than six (6) feet in length is required at all times to help ensure the safety and enjoyment of all park visitors.
If you would like to exercise your dog off leash, please contact the Park District office for information about the Kellogg Dog Field.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our parks safe and enjoyable for everyone.
