Playgrounds
The Anderson Park District offers several types of playgrounds including all-children’s, wet and traditional play areas.
Beech Acres Park
This all-children’s playground and water play is like no other playground in the park district, with a stimulating layout that encourages both active and imaginative play. Each section features play opportunities for children of varying physical abilities.
Water Play operating hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Scheduled to be turned on by Memorial Day Weekend and turned off after Labor Day weekend.
Juilfs Park
Renovated in 2013, this farm-themed playground is located west of the office and features swings, covered sand area, an array of slides, and jungle gyms. The water play feature was completed in fall 2016 thanks to the Juilfs Foundation and their continued contributions to the community through the Anderson Parks.

Kellogg Park
Thanks to a Land and Water Conservation Fund matching grant administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Kellogg Park received its first playground September 2015! The playground includes climbers, stepping stones, rings, slides, and more.
Laverty Park
Thanks to a NatureWorks grant through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Laverty Park received a new playground in 2010! The new playground features a rock wall, climbers, slides, and a set of swings.
Riverside Park
Riverside Park boasts a creative children’s playground including slides, swings, sand diggers, a cave, a climbing structure and an abundance of space for imaginative play. Children can live their dreams in the park’s unique playground.
Veterans Park
“Lucky Lanier All-Children’s Playground” includes a unique and innovative play space, accessible to children of varying abilities. The playground components are easily reachable by ramp and by transfer platform, and include a swing structure and ADA approved sand surfacing.
